Hello all, I'm a SAHM of two beautiful toddlers in need of some help getting out of a bad situation. My ex boyfriend is a narcissist, and he is starting to treat my kids and I like absolute garbage. I walked in on him looming over our three year old son, yelling in his face because he is 'sick of the attitude.' I don't know what attitude a literal BABY can have let alone one that deserves that kind of treatment. It's not the first time I've caught him doing stuff like that to our kids and I have had enough. I want out, for my kids sake. Especially my son, he doesn't deserve that. I've wanted to leave for a while now, but I don't have any friends or family in WA to help out. The plan is to move back in with my mother up in the NT until I get back on my feet, but even taking the bare minimum of my and my kids stuff is expensive. I've shopped around for quotes, and im going to go with the best one I can, but I have a very short window to save money, especially when I'm left to pay for everything home related despite having much less than my working ex. The idea was to drive the kids up to the territory, but being so young it'd be a helluva run. IDEALLY I want to put the car on a truck and send it up, best quote I've gotten for that is 2000, which I'm told is about average for a medium SUV. I can't just sell it, because I need the car for the kids and work when I find a job up there. Best case scenario, with the funds I can have our stuff plus the car shipped up to the NT and fly ourselves. Worst case scenario, I leave everything and drive with the kids, which I want to avoid. This is enough of an upheaval for the kids that I dont want to rob them of everything familiar, even if it's just stuff, minimal though it is. I just, UGH. Need some help getting there.
