Hi. We are raising funds to help our friend in Costa Rica get back to being able to support himself and his family.

When the pandemic hit, Juan Carlos couldn’t meet the finance payments on his car. The bank repossessed his car and gave him nothing back for the five of six years payments he had made.

As a taxi driver, Juan Carlos lost his business and his independence. Post pandemic he’s back driving but not for himself. The company he works for only give him 20% of each fare. He is struggling to pay rent and put food on the table. There is no way he can pull any money together to get his own car and get back to earning a decent living.

We are raising money so we can get Juan Carlos a second hand car to get him back on the road and earning enough money to live through the year, and to start saving towards a better vehicle.

Juan Carlos is one of the nicest, kindest and most reliable people you’ll meet. The pandemic was not kind to him, and neither is his current situation.
