Darcy was diagnosed with an auto immune disease, specifically Very Early Onset Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD). After her CT Scan, colonoscopy, endoscopy with biopsies and countless blood test we were told she needed genetic testing through CHOP. In order to successfully treat her, we are being sent to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia for a VEO-IBD Genomic Diagnostic Test. CHOP specializes in Very Early Onset IBD or VEO-IBD. This genetic panel defines the 98 known causative genes for VEO-IBD. These results  will determine which team of doctors will be treating her long-term. In order to begin genetic testing we are required to pay ALL fees up front to total $7,799.08 This does not include the travel to Philadelphia and any lodging/travel expenses, any future treatment from CHOP or the medication her insurance refuses to cover. Darcy is my whole world. She is struggling with everyday life due to her urgency to have constant bowel movements. She isn't able to participate in any team sports or even a long day at the park. Elizabeth is a wonderful mother who has done everything on her own. This past year she purchased a car, started a second job and moved out on her own. Her budget is limited.  Please help get Darcy tested!
