This year Aspire2 and the Whitley Schools are on a mission to raised £45,000 to purchase two minibuses. These minibuses have previously been leased via Aspire2 but this is now coming to an end and we need to raise the funds to be able to purchase these minibuses that have been vital for the Whitley schools.
Over the last 4 years these minibuses have been used by over 26,000 pupils travelling over 29,000 miles on trips including a sporting fixture in Wales, a trip to Stonehenge and hundreds of local journey to sporting events, tutoring and swimming lessons. Here's what our pupils and teachers have to say.
'Without the minibuses we would not have been able to afford to take the children on a trip'
'The children would not be exposed to a range of experiences without the use of the WEC minibus'
'I loved going to Beale Park on the big minibus and seeing all the animals. My mummy cannot get me to places like that so thank you for taking me'.
A group of us have now signed up to run the Reading Half Marathon on Sunday 22nd March in aid of the WEC minibuses. Any donation would be greatly received. Thanks and wish us luck!!
