Fundraising for Charity Entry to Head of the Charles Regatta
Tax deductible
*WE HAVE REACHED OUR GOAL BUT THE MORE MONEY RAISED THE MORE PEOPLE THAT ARE HELP*
Ever since I got into rowing, rowing the single (one-person boat) in Head of the Charles has been one of my dreams. In December of 2023, I had my first real experience on a single while training for the upcoming spring season. I was extremely successful that spring season and ended up placing 4th place at the 2024 USrowing Youth Nationals.
Soon after nationals, my coach put in an application for me to row at the Head of the Charles 2024 in Boston. The way competitors are chosen for Head of the Charles is by lottery, and sadly my ticket for the lottery was not drawn. But, there is still hope! Through the Charity Program, the directors of Head of the Charles release 10 entries for sculling categories to those who raise $2,000 for their charities. So, my goal is to do just that.
The Head of The Charles is happening in just about a month, on October 22nd. Given my performance this year, I'm hoping to be one of the boats in contention to win the race, and your donation will help foster community and important social change. I promise to put in any and all my effort to do the best I possibly can in this regatta, representing our team. GO MRC!!
While the goal is $2000, the more money raised by us, the more people are helped. Since I will be racing for Miami Rowing Club, your donation will go to MRC and then transferred to The Head of the Charles Charity Program. Your donation will eventually end up going to the Cambridge Community Foundation. Thank you for your support!
