Home for the holidays

I have always believed that we are all a crisis or two away from nothing which is why I feel so strongly about safety net programs and philanthropy. Unfortunately, my beliefs have held true for a very good friend of mine.  In a series of terrible life events, first the death of a baby that started the unraveling of her marriage, then a change in NJ law made it untenable for her to continue her very successful business helping elderly people in their homes, and then her now ex-husband had several DUI’s and abuse incidents.  He continues the emotional and financial abuse by not paying his obligations as well as causing a foreclosure on her home.  She and her 3 beautiful children are now homeless and struggling.   She has 3 beautiful children much like our children, freckle-faced, soccer playing, honor students.   The money raised would be used to help with a rental of a small home in a safe neighborhood and legal fees.   She is currently working as a CNA and studying to recertify her nursing license.   Please help her and her children enjoy the holidays in their new home with stability and peace.   Please share this on your Facebook page.
