There are a million things every day that are out of our control - the weather, the traffic on the way to work, living through a pandemic, and even family. We do the best we can every day to live and provide for ourselves and our families. When things that are out of our control change the course of our lives and put our future happiness in jeopardy we have to take the bull by the horns and put things under our control. If you aren't familiar with the Powell family, allow me to introduce them to you. Danny is a husband and father and works hard to provide for his family. His wife, Amber, is a full time mom who also works to help provide for the family while consistently working to make herself better to be the wife and mom her family needs. They have two boys, Andrew who is 16 and Dallas who is about to turn six. Family can be a blessing and a curse and sometimes money changes people and brings out the worst in them - that is what is happening to the Powells. They moved into a family condo under false promises to help shape their future to be in a better position financially for themselves and their boys. But money talks and for the last 11 months the terms have changed with each passing month and they out of options with a notice to vacate the day before their son's birthday. To say this is heartbreaking would be a gross understatement. They have been fighting to prepare themselves financially to purchase this condo and like a mouse never reaching the cheese, they are now fooled out of a home by trusting people who are untrustworthy. They cannot afford to change the course of their life in 30 days when their future was being meticulously planned. Anything you can donate to help them regain a small piece of control is not only incredibly appreciated, it's a gift they can't begin to thank you for. Times are hard for everyone and the timing of this ask is as much out of their control as the weather but we appreciate your careful consideration.
