(I do not need monthly support. I don’t know why my fundraiser is saying that I do lol)
For those who don’t know me, I’m Kylie Ochoa.

Somehow, over the years, I’ve become known for two very random things: my boobs… and helping get my ex-husband sent to federal prison for hacking law enforcement.

A couple of years ago I realized I’m apparently far more recognizable than I ever imagined. Australia’s first female Prime Minister, Julia Gillard, follows me from her official account. I’ve had people from NATO in Germany add me on LinkedIn because they recognized me from that infamous photo. I even met a retired CIA officer who now works with the U.S. Marshals while I was letting my bearded dragon stretch her legs during a road trip, and he knew exactly who I was before we’d even really started talking.

It’s bizarre, hilarious, and still something I haven’t quite gotten used to.

The last 19 months, though, have been some of the hardest of my life.

I’ve gone from being homeless to finally having a place to call home. It really would be beautiful if it weren’t for everything that’s gone wrong.

Instead, I’m living in an RV that was sold to in a condition that has left me preparing for court. It was delivered filthy, the living room A/C has failed, the microwave developed a dangerous electrical fault, the oven and stove are unusable, there’s no hot water, the holding tanks were left full from the previous occupants, it’s got a hole in the roof that was just discovered and it’s infested with tiny insects. Just when I thought things couldn’t get much worse, my car’s transmission and computer both decided to quit last week.

Needless to say… my bank account has also given up.

Every year there’s one thing I genuinely look forward to: Hacker Summer Camp, BSides Las Vegas, and DEFCON.

I made the mistake of moving from Las Vegas to Texas thinking I’d easily make it back for Hacker Summer Camp. Between the RV disaster and my car breaking down, that plan has completely fallen apart.

I still have a storage unit in Las Vegas that I desperately need to empty. My hope is to drive there, rent a larger vehicle—something like a Ford Expedition, an F-150, or a minivan—for the trip back, and finally bring the rest of my belongings home. Doing that will also save me about $150 every month by allowing me to close my storage unit. I had just discovered that at least one of my air conditioners needs replacing and that alone is $1800 per AC unit. I have two portable ACs in my storage unit. I can grab out and use instead, saving me a fortune.

The good news is I don’t need a DEFCON badge or accommodation. I’ve already got those sorted. I simply need help getting there and bringing my belongings home.

With everything going on in the world, I completely understand if this isn’t something you want to support. I promise I won’t be offended. I’m really not that cool anyway.

But if you’d like to help me make it back to Vegas for Hacker Summer Camp, BSides, and DEFCON—and help me finally bring the rest of my life home—I would be incredibly grateful.

I have attached the message. I got from the mechanic about my car and the state of the RV. I am currently dealing with. It doesn’t include the fact that I just found out that my back wall is made of rotten wood…

If you’d like to see the review of the RV in question here it is https://www.facebook.com/share/r/1DWm3v9dYs/?mibextid=wwXIfr
it doesn’t include the fact that the back wall is rotten because I’ve only just found that out today.

Thank you for taking the time to read this, and thank you to anyone who decides to help. ❤️
