The Mission
We are Sweeney's Sports, a small independent fishing shop in Napa, CA and we are on the mission to get more kids fishing outdoors and away from iPads and bad habits.
Kids walk into the shop curious, excited… but often without the means to get started.
And when they do get the right gear in their hands?
Everything changes.
Fishing builds confidence. Patience. Time outdoors. Real connection. We’re on a mission to make sure every kid who wants to fish gets the chance to.
What We’re Doing.
We started the Napa Fishing Club to serve out our mission. Through our work in supporting kids many people who aren't able to join the club asked us where they could donate to support our mission. So this GoFundme page was born. We’re raising funds to provide fishing gear setups for kids under 18 — right here in our community.
When a kid walks into the shop:
We talk to them
Understand what they want to fish for
Build them a real, usable setup
And send them out ready to succeed

How Your Donation Works
Every dollar goes directly toward gear for kids.
Here’s what that looks like:
$25 → Helps cover tackle (hooks, weights, rigs)
$50 → Covers rod or reel portion
$100 → Sponsors a complete fishing setup
$250+ → Sponsors multiple kids or advanced setups
100% of funds raised are used for gear.
The purchases are made through our shop, so your support:
Gets kids equipped
Keeps a local independent fishing shop alive
