We write today to respectfully ask your collaboration to support one of our fellow community member.
We are raising funds to support Jose, an asylum seeker detained for more than 6 months at the Donald W. Wyatt Detention Facility in Central Falls, Rhode Island. His bond has been set at $7,500. He can be released next week if he can post a bond this week.
Jose is a student and activist who is fleeing persecution from his home country due to his differing political opinions.
This is an opportunity to support an asylum seeker who is suffering because of the unjust and traumatizing immigration laws that we have in this country.
