Get Johnny Back To The Football

In the present day, the word legend gets handed about often. But anyone of any age in the local community of Kilbirnie, would agree that there’s one man locally who fits the bill with no arguments. Johnny Burns.

Johnny has become a pillar of this wee community, from helping out people in need, to offering a bit of banter or encouragement to someone down on their luck. Johnnys generosity knows no bounds. He’s run more buses to the football than Marbill and put more money behind the bar than Tennents. He’s replaced money lost by single parents who were strangers to him and donated to every single community fundraiser in recent years (significantly).

More than all of this, he does it out of genuine kindness, no thanks needed or wanted.

Now it’s our turn.

Johnny has had a challenging time recently, met with his usual determination and light hearted mindset. But a tough time none the less.

Please help us to give back to Johnny. We are looking to help this great man get back to watching the football club he holds so dear.. Kilbirnie Ladeside. We are hoping to raise money to assist Johnny in finding a solution to overcome the physical barriers preventing him from doing so.

If you can (even in this difficult financial climate) please donate even a small sum towards a gesture of reciprocation for Johnny. He hasn’t asked at all for any help, but we think after all this time he absolutely deserves it.
