Gus tore his ACC, and needs immediate surgery to repair it.

If you know me, you know my children. Yes, my two girls, but now that they are grown, I’ve replaced them with my sweet boy Gus and then a couple others. I’ve had Gus since 2015, since he was a puppy. If you’ve ever got the chance to meet the fluff ball, he’s the sweetest most kind hearted doggy.

On Wednesday, I was out in the backyard with Gus and he was doing his usual gig of trying out for the Olympics, running laps around in the thick and wet snow. Suddenly he let out a huge cry and immediately fell to the ground. Whimpering, I had to carry my boy back into the house to assess. With nothing visibly to note, besides the pain I could see in him, we made a vet trip the next morning. X rays and exams later, I was shown the tear in his rear left knee.

While common, this is a very costly surgery. The success rate of getting my boy back and running is high, but will require months of healing and cost me more than I comfortably have to spare right now. I’m asking for the remainder of which I cannot cover from you, my friends and family.
