Make history and support equality! Donate to help elect your first Green Councillors in the Holme Valley South.
As your green council candidates, we stand for equality, justice and fairness, and for the protection of our environment.
We ask for your support to elect the first Green Party Holme Valley South Councillors on May 7th. Unlike other major political parties, the Green Party does not rely on large corporate donors who inject millions into campaigning in order to influence party policy. All of the Green Party team in Holme Valley South are unpaid volunteers and every penny we raise goes towards campaigning and leafleting.
We know we can win in the Holme Valley.
We’ve just won in the Gorton and Denton by-election, and since our Green Party leader Zack Polanski came into place in October 2025, our membership in Kirklees has surged to over 1,100. This May, we know that three Green council seats can be won with a vote percentage above 35%. We will do this with your donation and your vote.
Your donation will allow us to reach 8,500 homes and 19,000 people across Holme Valley South. Funding will allow us to deliver our campaign including calling cards, two separate leafleting rounds across the valley, and will provide posters for supportive stores and households.
If elected, it is our mission to represent you on the Kirklees Council for the next four years, voicing what's important to the community.
Both nationally and locally, support for Labour has faltered as food, energy, and housing have become unaffordable. At the same time, support for the Tories has waned. Many of its members and MPs have fled under the banner of Reform - the party of division, prejudice and hate. Let's unite together and fight for equality within our community.
Your Green Candidates Anja, Jim and Steve are united in these beliefs;
- Reducing poverty and inequality.
- Supporting high quality health, education, jobs, and housing systems.
- Advocating for equal rights and justice for all.
- Fighting climate change and conserving the environment.
- Campaigning for affordable energy, based on state owned renewables.
We care about what is important to you and will fight to:
- Defend and enhance public services for Holme Valley residents.
- Save and improve resident infrastructure, community spaces and the countryside.
- Make planning and grants work for you, the residents of the valley.
