Hi everyone,

I’m reaching out to ask for help on behalf of someone who means the world to me.. my cousin, Challis, and her son Brayden

Brayden is just 18 years old and will be graduating from Army National Guard Basic Training this September in Columbia, South Carolina. This is a huge milestone — one that marks the beginning of his journey into adulthood and service to our country.

Brayden has always had a tender heart. He’s strong and determined, but also deeply emotional. The kind of kid who notices who’s there, who claps for him, who shows up. And right now, he needs his mama more than ever.

His mom is currently walking through one of the hardest seasons of her life. She’s doing everything on her own — emotionally and financially — and while she’s doing it with the most amazing strength, the truth is: she needs help.

She doesn’t have the extra funds to fly from Shreveport, LA to Columbia, SC, or to cover a modest hotel and transportation during the graduation weekend (September 3–4). She’s not one to ask for anything, but I can’t sit back and watch her miss this once-in-a-lifetime moment.

We’re trying to raise $2,000 to get her there so she can be the proud, supportive mom cheering Brayden on from the crowd, where she belongs.

This isn’t just about a trip. It’s about a mother showing up for her son at one of the most important moments of his life. It’s about reminding a young soldier that he is loved, seen, and celebrated.
