One of our WCC sisters is faced with a very scary and horrible situation right now. Lisa Chartrands son Beaudyn had a high fever a couple days ago and was tested for covid-19. In speaking with her on April 26, 2020, she sent me this message. "No results back yet but this morning he was fine, went upstairs and apparently fainted, Mike (Lisa's husband) brought him to me and he was super disorientated and his lips were blue. Then his whole body tensed and he couldn’t breathe. A possible seizure. So the ambulance came and went to hospital, they did blood work and he perked back up. So they discharged us and when we went home. While at home he had a piece of pizza, we went downstairs to the basement, he went back up the stairs and when he got to the fifth stair, he fainted and slid right down the stairs. He was really blue and starting tensing and not breathing again. The ambulance came again and they rushed him out of the house, he literally looked lifeless. His heart rate went down to 30 bpm and it wasn't going up. He’s in the ICU, they gave him a pacemaker and breathing tubes, he’s been away from us for four hours now, can’t see him till he’s stable". And in speaking with Lisa, the doctors determined that Beaudyn would need to be airlifted to Edmonton AB. Beaudyn has been airlifted to Edmonton but Lisa and her husband Mike weren't allowed to fly with him. In speaking with Lisa, she tells me that they are flying to Edmonton today.
