Get Bayswater a Willy wagtail mural by Amok Island
Donation protected
Bayswater is to Perth what Brunswick is to Melbourne… but we need to lift our street art game.
With your help, I’d like to commission Dutch Australian artist Amok Island to paint a willy wagtail on this wall facing Toowong Reserve.
Why? In Noongar culture, the djiti djiti is considered a messenger bird from elders past. I like to think our local DD/WW is my late Dad; he says hi to the kids then shits on my car.
The rest of the mural will be up to Xander.
I know times are tough so any coins you can flip us will be treasured.
The total cost of the project including materials is $4000 but we already have half — so anything you give will go direct to Amok Island (best known for his banksia murals but check out his other work: https://www.amokisland.com/)
I know we have Porkies, the bowlo, Baysie 3.8 and King Somme but let’s start this trend to prove we’re cooler than Basso once and for all.
Hopefully you can remember someone special every time you do the rat run between Coode/Beaufort/Grand Prom too.
