On September 8, 2025, Nepal witnessed one of the deadliest youth-led uprisings in recent memory. What began as peaceful protests against corruption and the recent government ban on social media quickly turned into a national tragedy.

Police opened fire on crowds of unarmed youth across multiple cities, including Kathmandu, Pokhara, Butwal, Bhairahawa, Bharatpur, Itahari, and Damak. Despite a sudden curfew, thousands continued to march for truth, transparency, and freedom of speech.

Confirmed fatalities: 19

Hospitalized with injuries: 300+ (and counting)

Hospitals overwhelmed, supplies short, urgent support needed!

Why We're Raising Funds

Many of those injured are students, workers, and unemployed youth — most without access to quality healthcare or financial support.

Funds raised here will go toward:

• Medical expenses (surgeries, trauma care, rehabilitation)

• Every rupee/dollar helps — whether it's for a blood bag, a night of hospital stay, or a safe ride home.

We are Vancouver Nepalese Sports Club (Yarsha)(We are Gen Z ) a community-based organization located in Vancouver, BC, Canada. Our club is dedicated to promoting sportsmanship, unity, and cultural connection among Nepalese youth and families through organized sports, wellness activities, and community engagement.

"Yarsha" stands for strength, resilience, and pride — values we carry both on and off the field. While we are passionate about sports, we also believe in standing together during times of crisis, both here and back home in Nepal.
