Gemma's Ghana Trip

In October 2017 myself and a team from Lord Wandsworth Collage will be traveling to Ghana to help our partner school. The project involves spending 10 days in Ghana living in the community and working with EgyeiKrom School, we will be undertaking pratical projects in the school as well as working with pupils on shared project initiatives. I am really looking forward to this unforgettable experience.
To raise money for my trip I am taking part in the Devises to Westminster Canoe race over Easter weekend this year. I will be paddeling 125 miles, including 77 portages where we have to run with our boat, (this running adds up to a half-marathon) over four days and camping on the river side. It is no wonder that it is the hardest physical challange any U18 can take part in!
