For anyone who knew my mum, you’ll know she was one of the kindest women ever. She would always put others before herself — she had a heart of gold.

Yes, our mum didn’t always choose the right path, but she always had me and Lilly in her heart, and family was everything to her.

As some of you know, my mum wasn’t well during that week, and we had to make the hardest decision ever — but it was the right one for her. Surrounded by her brothers, auntie, cousin, sister-in-law, nephew, and her daughters, we all held her hand and let her sleep. She went up to heaven to be with her own mum — no doubt causing trouble together again, just like they always did in Hilltown when I was a wee girl.

We wouldn’t change a thing about my mum or gran. They were a handful, but they were so, so loved by the whole family.
