Rebuilding the Coburn family home
Donation protected
Hi everyone. My name is Kara. As some of you may have heard over the weekend, tragedy has stuck Louisiana. Again. Massive flooding has destroyed a heartbreaking amount of businesses, schools and homes in multiple towns. One of those towns is Denham Springs, Louisiana. A town where my family chose to raise a family. After several years of hard work, dedication, jumps, some falls, and sacrifices the Coburns were finally able to buy their first house. Throughout the past year the hard work, dedication and sacrifices hasn't stopped; for this house was now HOME to their growing family of a 'yours, mine & ours' (along with 2 pups). My cousin Caitlin has turned this house into one of the most beautiful, welcoming and warming homes. Meanwhile her husband TJ has worked non-stop, opting for business trips away from home in order to support his family. Well, this weekend that home became submerged in water. After hours of being stuck on the 2nd level of the house, they were finally forced to do the unthinkable and evacuate their home. Pictures show just how high the water has gotten. (Mind you, more rain is due for the next few days) The more rain the higher the water will rise causing even more damage. As of now all appliances, walls, flooring, furniture & vehicles are of a loss. There may even be cracking of the foundation. Lets hope the rain subsides and the water begins to drain. The Coburns don't deserve this. Nobody does. Nobody could have prepared for this due to no warning until it was too late. My cousin and her family need to start all over. Lets help the Coburn family put their lives back together for their 3 children (ages 5-7) Funding will be used towards rebuilding this home and any other expenses necessary to build their lives back. We know they would do the same for any of us. Any amount of donations is greatly appreciated. Thankyou, God Bless & God Bless Louisiana
