Gear up for glioblastoma: Cycling for a cure

In loving memory of my uncle Kevin Learoyd, who bravely fought glioblastoma until November 2023, we are (foolishly) embarking on a charity cycle to raise money and awareness. We're cycling 400 kilometres from Leeds to Guildford over four days in August 2024, an endeavour fuelled by our determination to make a difference in the fight against glioblastoma.

Riders: Thomas Whittaker, Daniel Whittaker, Benjamin Whittaker, Steve Webb, Chris Webb, Michael Webb, Jonty Learoyd, Samuel Barcia, Aran Fitzpatrick, Zaid Hammoudeh, Nicholas Rosenhagen-Christiensen, Joseph Froud, James Mitchell

Support: Caroline Whittaker, Cathryn Webb, Sarah Webb, Amelie Webb, Deonne Webb, Razik Abdelrazek

Glioblastoma is a devastating disease, and through this cycle, we aim to raise both awareness and vital funds for The Brain Tumour Charity. Your support is invaluable. Please donate and spread awareness to help fund essential research and support for those affected by glioblastoma, and stand with us in solidarity against this cruel disease.

Please donate, share and spread the word so we can pedal towards a future where glioblastoma no longer takes our loved ones too soon. Donate today and be a part of our journey towards a world without brain tumours. Thank you for your generosity and compassion.

More information about glioblastoma:

Glioblastoma is an aggressive and often devastating form of brain cancer. Patients diagnosed with glioblastoma face significant challenges, including invasive surgery, radiation therapy, and chemotherapy. Despite advancements in medical research, the prognosis for glioblastoma remains poor, with a median survival rate of around 15 months. The impact of this disease extends beyond the patient, affecting families and loved ones profoundly. Your contribution to the brain tumour charity will directly support vital research, patient care, and advocacy efforts, offering hope to those affected by this relentless disease.

More information about The Brain Tumour Charity:

The Brain Tumour Charity is the leader in its field, funding world-class research, providing support and information and raising awareness of brain tumours. It is dedicated to beating this disease, the biggest cancer killer of people under 40 in the UK.
