Hello, my name is Sasha Johnson.

On December 15th, 2022 at around 9:30 AM, my dad, Greg Johnson, took his last breath. He went in for surgery and never left the hospital. This incredibly loving father of three, and a doting husband to my mom, was suddenly gone from our lives. That day, the world lost a wise, intelligent, and sensitive soul. As cliché as it sounds, this earth really is a darker place without his light. He was an amazing example to his young sons, Gabe and Skyler, of what a man should be; and because of this, I know they will continue to grow to be people of integrity and compassion. I can say with certainty that many of my best qualities can be attributed to the lessons he imparted as I was growing up.

However, because this tragedy was so unexpected, there was no way for us to be ready; emotionally or financially. Therefore, I am trying to raise money on behalf of my mom, Olga Johnson. She recently took on a second job, but even that has not been enough. So now on top of grieving the loss of her husband, she is constantly sleep-deprived and financially strained. She is on the verge of losing the house in which she raised her children (two of which still live with her), as well as being unable to keep up with the numerous other expenses that are piling up. We tried to manage for the first couple of months after my dad's passing, but soon realized that it was just too much to handle.

I may be biased for thinking that my mom deserves the world, but I know she at least deserves some pressure taken off her shoulders so she can properly mourn and start the process of moving forward after such an indescribable loss.
