A few weeks ago, both of my nephews’ bikes were stolen from their family shed. It was an awful shock for the boys! George, the youngest, had saved up a few hundred pounds for his, but Harry, the eldest, had saved for years for his dream mountain bike — worth thousands. It wasn’t just a bike to him; it was his pride and joy, as you can see from the photos. He loved everything about that bike. There wasn't a day that went by where he wasn't out riding.

Since the theft, it’s caused real devastation in the family, especially for Harry. My sister has noticed a big change in him, he’s been really down and it has affected his mood. It’s heartbreaking to see because that bike was such a huge part of his life. He’d finally found something he loved, and he was getting more confident on the trails every week.

The good news is that George is getting a replacement bike, but unfortunately the family just can’t afford to replace Harry’s. So I thought I’d try something — to see if, together, we could raise enough to buy him a new bike, restore a little faith in humanity, and show him what community really is. This is a kid who, many times, has given his own pocket money to homeless people on the street, and one year on his Christmas list he even asked for money to be donated to charity on his behalf!

If ever there was a child deserving of a Christmas miracle, it’s Harry.

We’re hoping to raise enough to get Harry a new mountain bike — something that will get him back out doing what he loves most. I think we can all remember how much our bikes meant to us growing up… they were our ticket to freedom!

If you’re able to chip in, no matter how small the amount, it would mean the world to Harry and to all of us who love him. Let’s see if we can give him a little Christmas miracle this year ✨

Thank you so much for reading and for any support you can give.
