Hello,

My name is Ruby Pope, and next January my Dad, Auntie, Uncle and I are running a half marathon in memory of my Grandad, Steve Pope, who we sadly lost at the end of last year to a heart attack.

Several years ago, Grandad underwent a triple bypass at Royal Brompton & Harefield Hospitals. Thanks to the incredible care he received there, we were given more precious time with him, time filled with laughter, stories, love, and memories that I’ll cherish forever.

Now, we want to give back to the hospital that gave us those extra years.

On Sunday 11th January 2026, we’ll be running 13.1 miles to raise funds for Royal Brompton & Harefield Hospitals Charity. The work they do changes lives, not just for the patients they treat, but for the families who get to keep their loved ones for just that bit longer.

Every donation, no matter the size, will go directly toward supporting their vital work in cardiac care and research.
