We have always known that we wanted to adopt a child, but we could not imagine that we would adopt the very first child placed in our home as therapeutic foster parents.  Will came to live with us almost two years ago.  We knew very little about the 15 year old boy who would be at our home only 2 hours after receiving a phone call from a social worker on a cold Monday night, just two days before Thanksgiving!  And we didn't know how long he would stay with us and that this  young man--who loves hoodies and hot chocolate by the way--would come to call us Mom and Dad.  But we were open to whatever child walked through our front door.

After a two-year journey together with this hilarious and bright guy, we will soon finalize the adoption of our son Will in the coming months! We have established this fund because we will need some help with expenses no longer covered by therapeutic foster care, including extra court fees and other costs as we continue to support his specialized health and education needs.
