GBO GIVEs Team #2
Donation protected
Dear Colleagues,
As announced by David Elkins, Estelle Vester-Blokland, Greg Meyers, and John Damonti on May 15th, we are proud to be selected as 2023 GBO GIVEs Ambassadors
Team 2: Celine Idowu, Ami Rathod, Jeet Uppal, and Sandra Ramos-Alves.
We will spend 3 weeks working with NGOs (non-profits) in Eswatini and South Africa to help them meet their key deliverables and improve lives of the communities and patients they serve.
We are raising funds to purchase essentials during our assignment (e.g., hygiene products, office supplies, and other essentials).
Please consider donating! We assure you that your kind donations will reach patients and communities that the local NGOs serve. Every donation counts and is much appreciated!
The NGOs that we will partner with in June are:
International Association for Hospice and Palliative Care, Eswatini (IAHPC): Provides palliative home-based care to the Eswatini nation (Clinic, Hospice Home Care, Education and Training Services). Its mission is to improve the quality of life of all patients with life limiting diseases, including HIV/AIDS.
Afia Tai, South Africa: Its objective is to strengthen the delivery of comprehensive integrated public healthcare services to under-resourced communities in a quest to extend the reach of screening and prevention services for cancer and non-communicable diseases (NCDs).
You can also follow us and learn more about our work starting June 12th to June 30th via Yammer.
Many thanks and best regards!
