I am fundraising to move us into our own place and get on my feet financially. We have been living in DV shelters, motels, our car, house shares and nights at different people's home since September of 2023. My child disclosed vivid details to me about continuously being sexually abused by her father and half brother. The fear in her voice, the threats said to her, the tears flowing down her innocent beautiful face and just hearing her express how it was no longer fun for her felt like a bullet through my heart and like I was struck by a bus all at the same time. This shocking unbelievable disclosure destroyed me in ways I can’t even describe. I didn’t expect our entire life to become a million piece unmanageable puzzle waiting for me to put together by myself. It impacted us both severely to the point we both suffer from mental/physical health problems. I was so disgusted to the point I was unable to eat or drink without vomiting & started having severe panic attacks. I was fighting for our life and eventually loss my job, place to stay and everything In it. We will continue to inspire/ share our story on tiktok because it will become a survival guide for others. We are on the waitlist for an apartment I got approved for.
