GBHS Parent Community Event

Donation protected
A group of parents will be working within the new guidelines put forth by the NS Government to provide a community event to celebrate the hard work put forth by the GBHS Class of 2020.   The COVID 19 Pandemic has disrupted the final year of our children's high school experience.  Nova Scotia's Chief Medical Officer of Health has made an exemption to the Health Protection Order to allow community celebrations for graduating high school students this year.

This event is going to be based around a drive-in concept, attendees must arrive in a vehicle. All passengers in the vehicle must be from a single household or household bubble.

Graduates can come out of their vehicle to cross the stage and will take part in a dance with their parents alongside the car, as long as a physical distance of two metres or six feet is maintained.

We have partnered with the Bayitforward Committee, CBU, and other local businesses to try to make this dream a reality.  The cost associated to give the best experience is estimated to be around $5000.   The event is scheduled to take place on June 27th at 2pm.   Any help from the Public would be greatly appreciated to ensure the kids from Glace Bay have memories to cherish.

Any additional money that is raised from this event will go to the Bay it Forward Committee and the GB Food Bank.

Thank you from the organizing committee. Note:  This is not affiliated with the CB Regional School Board or Glace Bay High School.
