I have sold everything - home, business, assets, vehicle, jewelry, you name it and I likely have bargained it off to fund our fight to stay safe. I have become desperate as there is nothing left really to sell to protect my now 12-year-old daughter from further sexual abuse by her father. This legal battle is about 8 months and $80,000 deep … and, shockingly, it was s far from over.
How did we get here?
March 1st, 2022
At just barely 9 years old, a lively child was abducted by her father. And despite a mother’s repeated attempts to retrieve her, armed with court orders in-hand and police called on-site, those who promised to protect had instead fostered a predatory playground—Daddy’s Apartment. In that apartment, illegally removed from all maternal contact and subsequent safety, a child’s radiating innocence flickered and faded away.
No more smiles, no more carefree chatter. A 9 year-old little girl was left with worries of how far his hand will go this time, wishing someone would save her, and scared of the things she could not yet say nor accept that were being done to her.
June of 2025
At 11 years old, after two years of being violated, she could not take it anymore and escaped.
- She was with me. She was safe. And two months later, she told me. Now, I had to accept and cope and take action with what I was hearing had been done to my baby girl.
Since last August of 2025, I have gone through multiple attempts with every system that should provide protection - CPS, law enforcement, family law courts. Unfortunately, this little girl has been repeatedly failed by our police systems, departments, and people who should protect her.
In 2022, she was kidnapped by her father and the abuse began. Several times I met law enforcement at his residence and showed my custody order. But instead of charging him with parental kidnapping/abduction, they left the child in his care and unbeknownst to me at that time, he was given the opportunity to start sexually assaulting a then-9-year-old little girl.
Now, the police are aware of the years of abuse but have yet to arrest him because jurors have not been giving guilty verdicts lately and the DA is more concerned with their conviction rate than protecting children.
CPS is a very biased and flawed department that sides with fathers and I have documented proof of their lies.
I am fighting for a restraining order in family law court. It should not be this costly and difficult to attain protection! Since August of 2025, I have been forced to pay outlandish attorney fees in my attempts to protect my daughter. I have sold everything I can and now need help with attorney fees. Last month, the bill was $18,900!!! For one month!! It is because we are in trial now and I am having to defend myself when the restraining order should clearly have been granted long ago!
It appears, this $20k will continue for the next several months as we seem to do one court appearance a month that lasts all day with weeks of preparation.
It is disheartening that this is the scenario to protect a child from sexual abuse.
I need to pay 20k a month in attorney fees for the next 3 months.
If I can’t pay the attorney, he stops working on the case and we risk losing her to her predator.
