Hi, I’m George Brady, the owner of GB Personals, a personal shopping business based in the North East.

This Christmas, I want to bring my customers, friends and wider community together to help make Christmas that little bit brighter for local children and families struggling financially.

I’m raising money to buy new Christmas presents to donate to The Salvation Army’s Newcastle City Temple Christmas Present Appeal.

The Salvation Army is a Christian church and charity that supports people facing poverty, homelessness and hardship. Alongside practical help such as food and community support, its “Be a Star” Christmas Present Appeal collects gifts for children who might otherwise go without a present on Christmas morning. For parents struggling to cover food, heating and everyday bills, buying Christmas presents can feel impossible. Together, we can help ease some of that pressure and give their children something special to open.

How your donation will help

I’m independently organising this fundraiser through GB Personals. The funds raised, after GoFundMe’s transaction fees, will come to me to purchase new gifts, which I’ll donate through the Newcastle City Temple appeal for distribution to children and families in need.

The team has highlighted that gifts for boys and girls aged 10–18 are particularly needed. Donations will help buy suitable presents such as toiletry sets, craft kits, water bottles, headphones and gift vouchers, guided by what the appeal needs most.

I’ll keep a record of donations and purchases, retain receipts and share updates so you can see how your support has helped.
