Dear my human family,

My name is Hussein, a Palestinian medical doctor currently studying for a PhD in the UK. My heart breaks as I watch the news and see my home city obliterated, whole neighbourhoods demolished, and whole families erased. The largest humanitarian catastrophe ever is unfolding in Gaza. I have lost some dearest relatives, friends, and neighbours, while the rest are being displaced under fire and struggling to meet their basic needs.

No water. No food. No house. No electricity. No fuel. Not a single human could live in such conditions.

In this horrific situation, more than one million Palestinians (according to the United Nations reports) have been displaced from their homes and are living in emergency shelters or on the streets in Gaza. In a matter of minutes, whole families, infants, women, children, and elder people became homeless and foodless in a horrible and terrifying situation.

I am launching this crowdfunding campaign to raise money to provide urgent shelter and food for my family and other families in need in Gaza. Your donation will help us provide these families with:

• Emergency shelter for those who have lost their homes (£400 per family).

• Food parcels to families in need (£50 per parcel).

The donations will go to the Palestine Charitable Organisation, a civil, non-profit organisation pioneering in humanitarian work without any ideology or political entity other than a purely humanitarian cause. It was established in 2001 with a license from the Ministry of Interior under No. 7074 for the purpose of humanitarian relief.

I volunteered and worked with the directors of this organisation while I was living in Gaza. I have witnessed their work closely, and I trust them to use your donations wisely.
