Hello, everyone! My name is Amy Sigler. I am reaching out because my son Gavin and his family are very much in need of help. It is not like any of us to be vulnerable and ask for help, but here I am -heart open-asking for help for my loved ones in need.

You see, Gavin has been sick for some time now. He was a 38-year- old robust young man until he suffered a stroke from an embolism which turned into sepsis. Now, a year later, he has congestive heart failure, pericarditis, and a new heart valve. The stroke has left him with speech problems, some cognitive decline, shortness of breath, and extreme fatigue.

Due to his condition, he has been unable to work. His wife Julie and their three children (all under 14) have been doing their best to keep finances afloat. However, they have fallen behind on their home mortgage and are currently in jeopardy of losing their home. If we can help them catch up on their house payments, we can help them keep their home they have had for the past 14 years. It is the only home the children have known.

With all of the medical and daily living expenses, they have not been able to make mortgage payments for the last 8 months. Their home will go into foreclosure on August 31st without a payment of $23,000. If you are willing and able, would you please help my son and his family save their home?

If you have read this far, please know that I am truly grateful for your time. My ultimate prayer is that my son will be healed, but I also do not want Gavin and his family to lose their home. I wish I could show you all that Gavin, Julie, and the kids go through in a day. I wish you could meet them and know their hearts and struggle. Instead, hear mine - I continue to stand amazed at their grit, selflessness, determination, unwavering faith, and abounding love for each other and for Jesus. This mama wants so badly to help her son, daughter-in-law, and grandchildren stay in their home while they continue to fight this battle. Gavin and Julie Smith Sigler were a part of our D&D group before life got too busy for us to play with them. Gavin has a complicated and dangerous heart condition that has forced him to leave his construction job. He has recently had a surgery to repair one of his multi-faceted issues, but it hasn't improved much for him. He even spent Father's Day in the hospital because he had another heart episode. He's getting pretty good at riding in an ambulance.

Julie works incredibly hard to monitor him and take care of him night and day. No man dreams of being disabled with young children. They have 3 young ones that they homeschool. Julie does have an alterations business that she does as she can. Their daughter frequently bakes to earn some side fun money on occasion. They're a sweet, Godly family with circumstances beyond their control.

They are filing for disability, but we all know those things can take a long time before being helpful. They've been living by faith for well over a year now. Gavin's mom is now asking the church to also help bear their burdens. Please pray about giving to this sweet Texan family.
