Help Build a Pebble Harp Meditation Space at the United Methodist Church in Platteville

Hi, I’m Gavin Koeller, a Life Scout working toward my Eagle Scout rank with Troop 84. For my Eagle Scout project, I’m excited to bring a unique and peaceful feature to the Platteville United Methodist Church—a pebble harp.

A pebble harp is an interactive musical sculpture that produces calming, bell-like tones when small stones are dropped through its frame. I was inspired by one I saw at the Green Bay Zoo and immediately thought it would be a beautiful addition to the church—offering a peaceful space for both indoor and outdoor meditation, reflection, and quiet joy.

The funds raised will go directly toward materials like wood, metal rods, pebbles, and fasteners, as well as a tray with wheels so that the pebble harp can come inside during the winter. I’ll be leading a team of volunteers to build it, and every donation helps bring this vision to life.

All funds that are raised over the required amount for the initial project will go directly to the Platteville United Methodist Church for any future upkeep and upgrades needed for the pebble harp.
