As you’ve come to find out, our beloved friend Gavin Wood was taken from us too soon in a senseless act of violence.

Gavin was one the kindest souls you’d ever have the privilege of knowing. His kindness served as the steady foundation for the warmth he shared with those around him. He was always there to lend an ear and listen, patient, protective and caring to a fault. Gavin had a way of making everyone feel special.

He was a stand-up kind of man who could always make you laugh on your worse days and even on his worst days he would still offer you a big smile and make you feel welcome. He was simply a pleasure to be around and someone you’d be proud to consider a friend.

Gavin was an amazing provider for his family. He worked hard to make sure his loved ones always had what they needed. So right now, in addition to your thoughts & prayers, your generosity is encouraged and greatly appreciated during this difficult time.

He leaves behind his 6-year-old son Nick and Nick’s mother Haley. Gavin was a devoted father. Some of his favorite things to do were spend time with his little man whether that was taking Taekwondo lessons, learning music and instruments, or watching football.

Let’s come together to help his family do their best to keep comfortable and to allow Nikki to continue doing the things that keep his father’s memory alive.

Whether it was an ice-cold beer, a perfectly mixed Bloody Mary, or a big tall hug, if you’ve ever felt cared for by Gavin, we encourage you to please extend that same care here to his son and family.
