Gavin Hillenburg lost his dad too soon.

Hi, my name is Julia Deaton. Gavin is my nephew. My brother Mikie passed away unexpectedly on December 17, 2020. He left behind one son who was a senior in high school. Gavin graduated from Indian Creek HS this year. His plan is go to Greenville University in Illinois and play D3 basketball. With Gavin’s permission, I am creating this fund to help him with college. I set up a savings account at a bank for donations for Gavin’s college fund after my brother/his dad passed away and sadly I was the only person who contributed. Gavin has always had to be a strong young man and take care of himself. It’s time for some of us to take care and give to him. He is 19 years old so he’s not getting any sort of financial help even though his dad passed when he was still in grade school. Gavin has a job he’s working hard at this summer to save up money for school. If you knew my brother, you knew he had a heart of gold. He would give the shirt off his back to someone and he was so fun to be around. His laughter was contagious and he was always trying to make everyone around him happy. My brother was just 39 years old when he passed away. Thank you for your contribution and for sharing. Gavin truly appreciates anything.
