Give Gary Dogs the Gift of Warmth

Friends and family I need your help. I am very passionate about my community and those that work so diligently to take care of it. One of those agencies is Gary Animal Control. A new administration was put in place a couple years ago and they have been working very hard to care for the animals despite being in a community that does not have the financial means, not enough helping hands, and a building that has no heat. I am not here to fix the financial problems of Gary, Indiana. I want to empower the officers who have been trying to make a difference and provide basic shelter for the homeless pets that are coming in the door. Most of the pets are picked up from the porches of residents. The animals are trying to find shelter and warmth. They are impounded into a building that does not currently have heat. They have been using space heaters and "getting by" as the city has brought in contractors to assess the situation. The electrical is now failing and the space heaters are shutting off. Thanks to the wonderful rescues and shelters in the area, most of the animals are transferred out quickly, but some remain. The Gary Police Department, Administration of Gary Animal Control, and other Animal Welfare Agencies are working hard to solve this problem. I am asking my friends, family, and community join with us to raise the funds that are so desperately needed. The funds will  pay for an electrical upgrade and new furnace. Gary will then begin working on the plumbing. I will be personally responsible for paying for the electrician and for the purchase of the furnace. Please consider a small donation to help us heat the kennels so homeless pets can find the refuge they need from the terrible cold and snow. We cannot afford to have another winter without heat!
