Hi everyone! It’s me, Michaela! With the holiday season approaching it has been heavy on my heart to do some good in this world. I cannot think of a better way to do so than to help my Brother Garrett, his wife Karlie and their sweetest baby boy Liam. Garrett and Karlie were blessed with a wonderful pregnancy but the delivery was anything but that. Liam was brought into this world via emergency c-section and it quickly turned into what felt like a nightmare they were waiting to wake up from. Sweet Liam was born with some unexpected deformities. Through genetic testing we found out Liam has a very rare condition called Popliteal pterygium syndrome. Because of this, Liam is facing a long road ahead of surgeries, doctor visits and therapy. Most of these visits will require travel. Currently they are traveling to Carmel Indiana once a week for 16 weeks to meet with one of Liam’s specialist for his legs. He has started his castings to help correct his club feet. Liam has already shown such courage and strength in such a short time. He is a fighter.

When I found out about my eye disease and found out I was going to lose my sight, my brother raised a generous amount to donate to the foundation fighting blindness to help find a cure. I of course had no idea he was doing this and was thankful beyond words and never knew how I could thank him enough.

Today I am asking you to consider helping Garrett and Karlie by alleviating a little bit of the financial burden they are set to face with the many unforeseen treatments and such Liam will need through the first few years or so. Help me share the love and appreciation I have for all the love and support my brother has shown me through my hard times. (I would like your contributions to be a surprise so we can gift to them for Christmas)
