Brothers and friends of Gamma Xi chapter, we are at a critical juncture in the future of our beloved Theta Chi chapter and your help is needed. 

The pandemic and other factors have put the entire greek system at SJSU in a very tenuous position.   We have been unable to recruit new members during COVID restrictions.  During this past year, only a small number of brothers lived in the house and we have taken on boarders to help finance house improvements. We have used this past year to make many house improvements so we are stronger once the school opens up again. Other houses on campus closed down during this past year and we used this time to make the house better and invest for the future of Gamma Xi. A fence around the house will help in a big way.

In order to make the house safer and more attractive to current and new members, we need to build a fence around the perimeter of the property.   

Homelessness has always been an issue in downtown, it has unfortunately grown into a much bigger issue that what you probably experienced during your time at the house. 

You may have heard about murders last year, next door at Grace Baptist Church.  Murder at Grace Baptist 

We are requesting generous financial support from the alumni community to fund a safety fence, the quoted cost is $8750.  If you would like to see the quote I'm happy to send it to you.   The fence will run along the alley separating Theta Chi from Grace Baptist, across the back where only a 3 ft tall fence now sits, and separating us from Sigma Nu.  Sigma Nu is now closed and has been sold, BTW.  We don't want to suffer the same fate.  Homeless often congregate behind our kitchen, relieve themselves around our property,  and do drugs on our property.


Sell off some off your bitcoin, cash in a few stocks, raid your kids college fund, and give back a little to the chapter house. 

Don't be cheap about it brothers, many of us have been very successful in recent years and can afford to drop some coin on this project.  Every dollar will go directly to this project and only this project.  All funds will be collected and controlled by the alumni board.  We should be able to raise these funds easily with the great alumni we have. 

Please spread the word to as many alumni as you are in contact with.
