Hi, my name is David Gedzah, the founder of Gamers Lounge Ghana and Gamers Lounge Foundation. At Gamers Lounge Foundation, there is nothing more important than creating an atmosphere of love, care and fellowship for orphans, the less privileged and the needy through our E-sports and gaming events. Even as Gamers, we believe in love and we are driven by practical acts of love based on the command in Deut. 15:11. We give not out of abundance, but out of LOVE.
Our charity events dubbed ‘Gamers Unite for Orphans’ have over the years brought together at total of about 250 children from three different orphanages, specifically: Nungua Children’s Home, MAHLEF Foundation and Remar Orphanage Ghana for a whole day of health and fun. However, this year we are hoping to do more with your help in sharing in our vision
Our event is focused on the following:
1. Health screening for the orphans, caretakers and the less privileged in society
2. Setup of Gaming consoles (PS5) and virtual reality with various games. The kids are also introduced to Esports as a career path with professional gamers in Ghana sharing knowledge and experience with them
3. Other gaming events such as bouncy castle, trampoline, face-painting among other related fun-filled activities.
4. Breakfast, Lunch and snacks for all children
5. Donation Items to all three individual orphanages.
6. Sponsor brilliant but needy students through school and/or Sponsor medical bills for certain medical conditions that may arise.
To help us reach our goal for the 2nd edition of “Gamers Unite for Orphans” on the 4th of October 2025 at the Cocobod Training School, we will need to raise an amount of GHS 100,000 both in cash or in kind towards the donation items, event setup and sponsorship among others.
Over the years, our events have been fully funded internally but we believe your kind support will assist us in giving these wonderful kids the best and lasting experience. We therefore humbly request your support or partnership in Cash or Kind towards this charitable experience.
