Storm Surge Game Lab Needs

Storm Surge Gaming is an Esports program that aims to provide young people in New Orleans with a safe and inclusive space to come together, build friendships, and learn valuable skills in the growing gaming industry.

Here in New Orleans, our community has been deeply affected by a rise in gun violence. Young people in our community are facing unprecedented levels of trauma, and it's clear that we need to do more to provide them with positive outlets and opportunities for growth.

This is why we are not wasting time in getting this going. By providing a place for young people to come together and engage in healthy competition, we hope to create a sense of community and belonging that will empower them to make positive choices and avoid getting caught up in destructive behaviors.

Unfortunately, running an esports program is not cheap and equipment breaks over time.

We need money to purchase a few more items to get the Storm Surge Gaming Center fully up and operational. That's why we're reaching out to our community to ask for your help.
