Hi thank you for taking the time to read about my cause,

My name is Maria and last year my family suffered a great loss, our hero my grandad passed away after a long and hard fight with Myelofibrosis, a rare blood cancer.

I am hoping to raise money in March for my birthday by hiking Ben Nevis as when I asked Gramps he told me it was his favourite mountain as he remembered climbing it when he was younger after his beloved dog passed away.

So in his honour I would like to give back as he was the most generous man I’ve ever known and we are all so grateful to the nurses at Galway hospice that helped us to care for him in the comfort of home with Nanny and all his loved ones in his last few months.

So instead of birthday gifts please anything you can donate I would be so grateful!
