Hello!
We are Eric and Kimberly Gaisford and we appreciate you taking the time to learn more about our adoption journey, as well as, how you can help!

Not long after our son was born 4 1/2 years ago, we knew God was not done growing our family. As the desire to expand our family grew, we experienced many doors close, and realized the birth of our son was truly a miracle! With sad and somewhat confused hearts, we called out to God for answers and it became more and more evident that God had planned for our family to look after the orphans just as the Bible speaks of in James 1:27. While there have been many moments of heartache and questions, we have been overcome by an incredible peace as God has prepared our hearts and home to adopt our future child(ren). With that, it was in August of 2014 that our family answered this call and began a long journey to adopt the next member(s) of our family! This process began with significant prayer, reflection, counseling and sorting of information. Being fully aware of the many challenges that this process will present, we are excited for what God has in store for us in the months ahead. We cannot wait to meet our new son or daughter, brother or sister, and welcome them with loving arms into our family and home through the gift of ADOPTION!
James 1:27: “Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after the orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.”
As we continue throughout our adoption journey, we are reminded the many hours spent thus far on medical screenings, background checks, paperwork, questionnaires, etc… will all be worth it when we get to hold that precious baby in our arms. Our son asks us numerous times each day “when are we going to get our baby?” and is already planning and preparing for his new sibling(s). He is truly as excited as we are to have a baby brother or sister in the home; and we know he will make an awesome big brother!
With so many children in need of a loving family and home, it is unfortunate that money is a hurdle any adoptive family must address. For our adoption, we expect to spend approximately $30,000-$35,000 in order to welcome our second child into our home. This includes everything from agency and lawyer fees, home study /case worker expenses, medical/background checks and travel expenses should we have to leave the state for the adoption, etc.
Asking for help is one of the hardest things for us to do; however, as we follow God’s will, we trust He will provide for our needs in His perfect plan and in BIG ways!
With that, we are hoping to raise $30,000 in just 30 days! And, we NEED your help!! Please help us find 1,000 donations of $30 (or more) in order for us to reach our goal to find our “little one!” If you feel led to give and be a part of our journey, THANK YOU! No donation is too big or too small. We know for some $30 is a lot, and we just ask that you commit to pray for us. We know that some might wish to give more than $30. No matter the case, you are a blessing to our family. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
With each $30 donation, your name will be written on a heart which will be placed in a special jar. The idea is to fill the jar with 1,000 hearts. Each heart will represent $30 given toward our adoption through love and support of our family. We hope to one day share this with our son or daughter so that they can know how many people loved them before we even knew their name or held them in our arms.
OTHER WAYS YOU CAN HELP!!!
Please help us share this to your network by either spreading the word on your facebook, twitter, instagram, etc… Or, simply by telling your family, friends, co-workers, and church.
Again, thank you for taking time to read about us and our journey. We know that God’s hand is very much at work in our family and on this journey. No matter the mountain that needs moved, we are trusting He will show up just as He has so many times since we began this process. We know that He already has our child picked out and we are truly anxious to meet them.
Sincerely,
Eric and Kimberly
