Gage flads recovery
Donation protected
Hi my names Ethan bangs I’m a close friend of gage flad and barn hand for the chuck wagon team flad racing. On Sunday June 2nd tragedy struck on the race track in grande prairie AB as two wagons collided coming out of the in field resulting in Gage getting ejected out his wagon resulting in Gage suffering with compressing two vertebrae’s and fracturing another one, as well as shattering his left foot severely. These injuries are going to cause gage to have up to a two year recovery.
Gage is a horseman and cowboy at heart always putting his horses first he has been in charge of roughly 23 horses for the past three years and is a 3rd generation chuckwagon driver so it’s in his blood. The first thing he was concerned about following his wagon wreck was to be reassured that his horses were ok and the second concern was how long until he can drive again. Gage is a man of few words but strong actions and really takes charge and leads by example as a brother and a friend, always ready to give a helping hand to other wagon teams or those wanting to learn more about the wagons. Gage is a 21yr old man that is driven to become one of the best drivers in the world and nothing will stop him. This year would have marked his third year in the seat and was competing to get his spot on the WPCA tour. This set back is just one more thing that will show how much courage this young man has and the grit and determination it takes to be a world professional chuck wagon driver.
The reason for this go fund me is to be able to maintain gages dream and pay the expenses of his 23horses with the end of this season he won’t be able to capitalize on getting sponsors competing for the day and show money as well as won’t be able to work this winter. With already overwhelming support we are hoping we can translate that to pull the financial burden away from gage at this time.
