Doing an Ironman to get Gabriel some Wheels
Donation protected
After years of internal debate and deliberation, I've spontaneously and recklessly committed myself to competing in this year’s full Ironman Canada. Realizing the scope of this commitment, I saw an opportunity to do some good by raising funds for my friend Gabe, who is in desperate need of a new power chair.
I'm aware that Gabe has his own GoFundMe page running concurrently, and despite his admirable efforts that have raised an impressive $33,000, he still requires an additional $30,000 to purchase this power chair.
For those of you unaware, in 2008, Gabe was paralyzed in a diving accident, losing his mobility and independence. He's now a C2-C3 complete vented quadriplegic, reliant on life support. He didn't qualify for extended healthcare, leaving him reliant on the kindness of others. His wheelchair is obsolete, and a new one costs over $60,000 Canadian.

My plan? Compete in the Ironman on August 25th. I've already paid my entrance fee, so all funds raised directly support Gabe's new wheels. Every contribution counts – thank you for your support.
