Gabriel Miller Expenses Fund
Donation protected
On December 25, 2018, Christmas Day, Meg and Caleb Miller welcomed their precious baby boy, Gabriel Levi Miller. He was born in distress, not breathing, and was resuscitated and took a flight for life helicopter ride to St. Luke’s Hospital in Denver before they could even hold him.
Since that day, Gabriel has undergone several procedures and his initial MRI results were unfortunately not what we were all praying for- it showed extensive and severe brain damage.
But, along with the hard news, there have also been great joys! Meg and Caleb have gotten to hold Gabriel, and he had his breathing tube removed and has been working to keep his airways clear on his own. Ultimately, the nurses and doctors are working with him to take a bottle so that they can work towards getting that sweet boy home.
Every day is a new day. While Gabriel’s diagnosis is severe, we believe that God is faithful, and that he is not done! We don’t know what the future holds for Meg and Caleb and sweet Gabriel, but we know that God gives us community to support one another and to carry one another’s burdens.
It’s unclear what current and future care expenses will be for Gabriel, but it’s likely that they will be extensive even with insurance. Also, with his extended stay, Caleb is taking extra unpaid time from work so he can be at the hospital in Denver to support his wife and son. It is our joy to come alongside them during this difficult time and support this amazing family so they can focus on healing and not be burdened by the added stress of care expenses.
Regardless of supporting financially, the most important support they need is for you to come alongside them in prayer for healing! Thank you to everyone for all of the support. They appreciate every kind word, thought, gesture and prayer.
