Bringing hope, culture, and community through cumbia & cuts.
Hola mi gente, my name is Gabriel Bravo — but in the community, I’m becoming known as Gabe Unidos.
This project is born from two things close to my heart: my mother’s fight with cancer and the power of cumbia and community. As my mom goes through radiation and chemo, cumbia has been her light — the music and dance that bring her joy, strength, and hope. Watching her reminded me how deeply our culture heals, unites, and inspires.
Now, I want to take that same energy and expand it to our whole community. My mission is to:
• Open more cumbia classes across Philadelphia, Delaware, and New Jersey, connecting la raza across all three states.
• Offer free & donation-based haircuts for people in need — the homeless, hospital patients, and anyone who can’t afford or access a barbershop.
• Build a mobile barbershop + cultural hub, where every donation goes right back into sustaining classes, clippers, and community events.
This isn’t about being just another barber. I don’t want to be known only as “Gabe from Philly.” I want to be known as Gabe Unidos — El Barbero de la Cumbia — the barber who keeps our people fresh, connected, and proud of our roots.
✊ Every dollar you donate helps me keep cutting hair for those in need, teaching dance that unites us, and creating safe spaces where culture thrives. Together, we can make this more than just a dream — we can make it a movement.
Gracias for your love and support.
“Unidos somos más fuertes”❤️
