Half Ironman for Charity

Donation protected
Well Folks,

On the 9th of July I will be completing a half ironman triathlon (1.9km swim, 90km bike, 21km run) in Waterville, Kerry. I have enjoyed the training over the last 9 months but I also want to make the most of the opportunity and raise money for three children's charities. If we can reach the goal amount over the next month, I will also add 250 euro to the total! The money raised will be split among:

The Cork City Hospitals Children's Club was founded in 1992 by a small group of volunteers who took a group of deserving children on the trip of a lifetime to Disneyland.
Since then, the club has gone from strength to strength and now has over 40 volunteers.
Throughout the year, the Cork City Hospitals Children's Club brings sick and deserving children from CUH, Mercy Hospital, St. Gabriel's and the Cork Deaf Association on numerous trips, as well as hosting many fun and exciting events. Some of the events and trips that have been organised by the club include:
-Annual trip to Euro Disney
-Christmas at Fota
-Monster Easter Egg Hunt in UCC
-Fun Cruise on the River Shannon
-Regular visits from all the Disney Characters and Clown Duo 'Bally & Wally' to the hospital wards
-Trip to Haubowline Naval Base
-Holidays for the families of terminally ill children

Jack & Jill Children's Foundation is a nationwide charity providing in-home nursing care and respite support for children up to the age of 6 with severe to profound neurodevelopmental delay. This may include children with brain injury, genetic diagnosis, cerebral palsy, and undiagnosed conditions. Another key part of our service is end-of-life care for all children up to the age of 6, irrespective of diagnosis. I have seen firsthand the impact these nurses have on families with the work my sister has done for the organisation over the years!

LauraLynn's mission is to provide a Community of Care that delivers evidence-based, personalised services to children with palliative care needs, complex care needs and complex disabilities, while also providing family support services and a home to our residents where quality-of-life is paramount.

Any amount that you can afford to donate is greatly appreciated, so lets raise some money for some fantastic charities!

Thanks,
Adam
