Service without borders is a transdisciplinary, student-led team that aims to collaborate with international partners to impact and implement sustainable social change while gaining mutual cultural understanding.
The club’s mission is to spread Virginia Tech's "Ut Prosim" motto both locally and globally through various service projects. One of our primary strategies is fundraising to help support projects abroad, such as implementing irrigation systems in Nepal, working alongside educational programs in India, and supporting education in Tanzania.
Our three main areas of focus this summer are implementing a computer lab for elementary school students, hosting a spelling bee, and improving the current playground which was built by last year's travel team.
I am currently a member of the Tanzanian team in which we will be raising funds in hopes to get a school accredited.TheTanzanian team has been working on the accreditation the past three by building a playground, a dining hall, and a dorm.
