Hello, my name is Kristel. I’ve been friends with Tawnee for a few years now, and my husband has been friends with her for many before. For those who know her they would more than likely describe her as an amazing person . She is the give you the shirt off her back type of women, and always tries to see the best in a tough situation .
Only month ago she lost her mom. Now as of December 1st , she’s delivered her first child.
Because of complications he is currently fighting for his life. He is strong and fighting hard.
Today when I reached out to Tawnee I learned that they’ve been staying in a hotel near the hospital where their son Wyatt is. While necessary, most definitely not cheap.
Tawnee and Jimmy need to be able to focus solely on baby Wyatt right now so any fundraising we can do to lessen the financial impact from their family would go a long way.
Tawnee would never ask for help, and I am creating this with her permission and gratitude for any funds raised.
Here is the most recent post from Tawnee’s Facebook with some of the details of Wyatt’s fight.
Wyatt James Lamb
DOB 12/1/21
7lbs 11oz
19.2 inches
I was induced early Wednesday morning due to my high blood pressure and super imposed preeclampsia, everything up until it was time to deliver went perfectly, his little heart rate was great and was ready to go. However, when he went 100% Baby Wyatt’s poor heart rate dropped significantly and very quickly, they tried tossing me around every which way to bring his heart rate up but no luck. They IMMEDIATELY ran me to the OR and put me under completely and intubated me. They had baby Wyatt out within 3 minutes! Not a typical c-section, I have a 9” vertical incision to show how quickly they needed to get him out of there.
Unfortunately when they got Wyatt out he was not breathing due to his short umbilical cord criss-crossed around his neck. He was ventilated immediately and the NICU did CPR and chest compressions for 20 minutes! They did everything they could to bring him to life.
After they walked away, his little heart began to beat on its own! Baby Wyatt is a fighter! Needless to say it was nothing short of a MIRACLE! Not a dry eye in that room/floor.
He was flight for life’d to San Antonio’s top NICU center shortly after where he is now continuing to fight for his life.
Baby Wyatt is stable but critical. All of his little organs are functioning properly. However, neurologically there may be some damage. We won’t know any of the permanent/long term results until after Sunday afternoon when tests are complete.
He is perfect and beautiful and we can’t wait to hold our precious baby boy.
Please keep him in your prayers as the next
few days are critical! ❤️
