This is my son, Kade Jackson. He has been in the Army for one year. He is stationed in Washington DC. His wife is in college studying to be a nurse. Since our Government is closed he has not received a paycheck. This is a young family that lives in the most expansive city in the country. Congress is still receiving a paycheck, but he or anyone else in the Military is not. His mother and I will make sure that he will not go without, we are blessed that we can do that for our children. But, a lot of young men don’t have that same luxury. Kade won’t spend a penny on anything frivolous I can assure you of that but he will ensure that his fellow soldiers that need help will get it.
